Emily's Firsts!

Daddy and Emily's first picture!

Emily's first day home!

Her first bath. Needless to say she really didn't like it. Now she loves bathtime more than anything else.

Emily's first Christmas picture. We stuffed her in her stocking just before she got too big to fit in there. This just might be my favorite picture of her!

Our first family picture. This was taken on Christmas morning. She was so tiny!

Emily's first Valentines Day! She was so cute in that red heart outfit!
Emily's first St Patricks Day! I still love the pockets on that dress!

Emily's first Easter! I loved taking these pictures and I love that she put her hand in her mouth since that is where it always is! It was perfect.

Welcome to our Family Blog!

Isaac and I met in January of 2005 and started dating. We saw each other everyday. By December we knew we wanted to be with each other for the rest of our lives and he proposed on December 23rd. We were married on August 19th, 2006 and have loved every minute of it. We bought a condo and started our lives together.

In April of 2009 Isaac and I found out that we were going to have a baby and we started planning an unmedicated birth. In Septemeber we started taking the Bradley Method birthing classes and it was the best decision we ever made because on December 8th 2009 we welcomed our daughter Emily Seren to our family. She has been an adventure from the very beginning. She was born in our home and was delivered by the Magna Unified Fire Authority because I was unable to make it to the hospital before she came. She was very alert right from the beginning and is a very sweet little girl who looks like her Daddy. She weighed 6 pounds and 14 ounces and was 19 inches long at birth.

The Gillespie Family went from having one small child in the family to having five small children. Starting with Maddy (7/29/2004), Conner (09/11/2009), Collin (11/13/2009), Emily (12/08/2009) and Lilith (02/13/2010). It was definitely interesting to have all three of my siblings preparing for a baby at the same time as me.

At Two weeks Emily Weighed 7 pounds and 11 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. Everyone was very happy with her weight gain. She was absolutely perfect.

At Two months Emily weighed 11 pounds 3 ounces and was 22.2 inches long.

At Four months Emily weighed 13 pounds 13 ounces and was 24.2 inches long.
